CreditBoost is set up so that renters can choose to report past or current payments and Avail will automatically report on-time rent payments to TransUnion. All the initial steps are taken by the renter. Landlords must opt-in to accept payments electronically for on-going reporting or the renter may opt-in for Avail to mail a check manually for an additional fee to the renter. Most renters see an update to their credit score within 30 days.
